Therianthropes while in their human form have few traits to identify them as being supernatural although any Therian that is living within the therianthrope faction will be branded with a tattoo to show their residence, loyalty and dedication to the faction.
An Alpha lycanthrope's eyes will glow dark red on a full moon or when in intense pain, a beta will glow golden yellow and an omega (lone wolf) will glow white. In their wolf form a lycanthrope will retain their eye color as it appears when in human form, this is generally most prominent after they first turn as it is painful. Lycanthropes have large canine teeth which contain the venom which can be used to turn other lycanthropes. A Lycanthrope's coat can vary from all colors of wolves in the wild.
An Alpha Kitsune's eyes will glow bright noen green on a full moon or when in intense pain, a beta will glow bright blue and an omega (lone fox) will glow orange. In their fox form a Kitsune will retain their eye color as it appears when in human form, this is generally most prominent after they first turn as it is painful. Kitsunes have small but very sharp teeth which can be used to inject their venom onto their target. A Kitsune's fur will vary between either a red fox or an arctic fox.
An Alpha Ailuranthropes's eyes will glow pale green, pupils circled by a golden yellow on a full moon or when in intense pain, a beta will glow pale blue and an omega (lone cat) will glow gold. In their cat form a ailuranthrope will retain their eye color as it appears when in human form, this is generally most prominent after they first turn as it is painful. Ailuranthropes have variations of different teeth based on the big cat they take form of. An ailuranthrope can appear in many big cat forms such as a tiger, snow tiger, lion, sabretooth tiger, panther, jaguar or cougar.
The Origin of therianthropes has never been confirmed over the centuries there have been many stories but overall there has been one that is commonly referred to as "The Beginning".
The story goes, during one of the first human civilizations there was a man who was bitten by a wolf, everyone thought he was going to die either from bleeding out or by infection or even the wolf wanting to finish the job. Because of this he was outcast and left to die, however under the light of a full moon his wounds healed and he found himself in the skin of a wolf.
Some say this was Necromancer or Fae magic, others say it was angels or demons, no one really knows for sure but either way the newly revitalized man remained an outcast and started to learn about his new abilities and their drawbacks.
When the man had fully realized his new abilities he decided to return to his home, after him being believed to be dead, everyone was concerned about how he was alive and on the next full moon they found their answer.
Although therianthropes have full control of their animal form, others didn't know this and started to hunt the man, he escaped the city and fled into the woods, he had been running for so long and had grown tired. He decided it was time to fight, he turned on his pursuers and killed them with his vicious bite. What he hadn't realized was one member of his pursuers survived and on the next full moon they turned the same way as him.
After that stories of therianthropes started appearing across the world and have only spread throughout time the true origin is unknown and many don't believe in the beginning story. Some of those who do believe is the Mercer family, they are believed to be pure-blooded decedents of the original wolf.
Later it was discovered that the wolf lineage weren't the only therianthrope pack and with time more and more different therianthrope animals became existent. The Wolf remained the predominant therianthrope sub-species, followed with the Kitsune.
Over time the facts about therianthropes have been twisted but all the facts below are true about the species:
The turning rule: The only way to be a therianthrope is to have the gene passed on by your parents (Pure Blood) or to be bitten on a full moon by another therian and survive (Half Blood) not all who are bitten will survive the venom affecting everyone differently.
The Trigger: There is no trigger to start the first transformation, if you have the gene you will turn on all full moons although the first transformation doesn't take place until the person has reached maturity.

The Transformation: In all therianthropes the transformation is extremely painful, more so in half bloods. But over time this does get easier. Some older therians claim to feel no pain at all. When the transformation occurs the body is literally ripped apart and remade to reform into their animal.
Animal Form: While in animal form therianthropes have full control over their emotions and actions although unlike shifters therians are unable to communicate telepathically with one another. That’s an ability held only by the alphas of each branch of the species and the Ambassador.
Hunger: Even though there have been rumors that therians are driven to eat others this is false, they survive on any food that a human would eat although while they are in their animal form some therians like to hunt animals. The myth comes from the fact that to turn someone a Therian must bite them but that doesn’t mean they crave the flesh of humans or other species. It also comes from the fact that on full moons most packs will hurt together as a way to strengthen their bond eating what they take down, this is done mostly when a member is accepted into the pack.
There are two types of therianthrope, full Bloods and half Bloods. A full blood is a therianthrope born with the therian gene whether from one parent or both and a half blood is someone who has been bitten and turned, half bloods have a harder time turning at first due to their stronger human side but this does get easier over time.
Because therianthropes are also part human their personal traits will vary based on their lives and environment, although all therianthropes have increased anger and this can also increase further when they turn into their animal forms. Which is what brings about the myths of Therians attacking people since they often become overly territorial and aggressive but hold onto their human logic.
While they are in their animal form they have full control over their actions and emotions although unlike shifters, therians are unable to communicate with each other telepathically at all. That’s an ability held only by the alphas of each branch of the species and the Ambassador.
Given the turn which therianthropes go through is physical and not magical, all clothing the therian is wearing when they turn will be ripped to shreds and upon turning back the therian will not have clothes. Which may cause many awkward situations.
Species Strengths and Powers:
Alpha of Alphas(Ambassador)
In addition to the abilities of a normal alpha they have:
Submission: Whether a Therian is part of the pack or happens to be another alpha the Therian Ambassador has the ability to cause others to submit and back down. If their will is strong enough they may challenge for the role of Ambassador(this will only ever take place for SL purposes and must be discussed with the Ambassador)
Gifted Abilities: Being the Alpha over the Therian species comes with great advantages, the chosen Ambassador will be gifted by each Alpha, one ability specific to their subspecies in order to help the species as a whole.
Council of Alphas: Being the Ambassador or Alpha of Alphas does not mean you can do as you will with no consequences and to make sure all subspecies have equal representation. The Ambassador is subjected to the will of the council and must answer to them as well as running important decision by them. There will be some cases in which it’s better to ask forgiveness than permission but those case will be SL based and discussed ahead of time.
Explanation of the Council: Evermore city is one of the first to have created a council of alphas in order to ensure peace within the branches of each species. Since having three alphas in one city is a strain on the control of all the causes tension the only solution which seemed to be fitting was to give them all a place and a voice. Though the Ambassador is the alpha of alphas and the head of the council they are held accountable to the council as a whole. No Ambassador decision is made without a discussion and vote and should the Ambassador fall short of their duties another on the council may step in to challenge.
The concerns of each branch of the species should be brought to either their alpha to be discussed with the council or straight to the Ambassador themselves to fuel a discussion. Despite three different branches and three different alphas it is all one pack and sometimes they may not all agree which is why the Council was set into place.
Memory Projection – Only during this time will an alpha’s claws extend in human form and can dig their claws lightly into the sides of anyone’s head to allow them to project thoughts and memories that the therian has experienced in front of the target’s eyes, Alphas cannot create false visions, all visions will come from real events.
Passing of the Gene: Ability to turn more than one person on a full moon by not only the venom secreted from their teeth but from their claws as well.
The Calming: Alphas have a natural aura which can calm upset or aggressive pack members forcing more aggressive pack members to submit.
Telepathy: An Alpha can wordlessly communicate with their pack when in animal form. They can hear the thoughts of the other pack members and send them thoughts, ideas and words.
Extended Life: All therianthropes have an extended life span usually around 2x that of a human.
Increased Senses: Increased strength, semi heightened hearing, increased healing speed ( Not fast enough to survive a fatal injury like decapitation), increased speed and increased agility.
Tracking: Using their increased sense of smell Therians are able to track people by their scent and can locate people within a large radius.
Strength In Numbers: Therianthropes are stronger when in a pack or around other therianthropes, same as they are stronger when working alongside an alpha and stronger when working alongside another subspecies. An alpha’s strength comes from the members of the pack and increases their alpha abilities.
Turning: A therianthrope can turn at will on any night but a new moon, on a full moon all therianthropes are forced to turn for the entire night. A therians's bite is only venomous on a full moon. All SLs involving a turning will have to be approved by Orion Valkyrie.
Howling - Lycanthropes can howl silently so only other lycanthropes can be alerted if there's any danger and can come to their aid, it is also a common way that lycanthropes can locate and communicate with one another from a distance.
The Mark - Lycanthropes can mark a person by placing their hand against the back of their neck for an extended period, this causes a tie between the lycan and the person allowing the lycanthrope and the marked one to communicate with each other through their minds, this mark can be removed by the same action. A lycanthrope can only ever have one places mark at a time. The mark only works within a thirty mile radius and once outside of that no communication can be made in such a way.
The Sight - Lycanthropes have the ability to see through most magical illusions while in wolf form but the stronger the magic or illusion the less truth they see. It also gives them the ability to pinpoint a kitsune who is blinding them.
Pain Transfer - Lycanthropes can dig their claws lightly into the sides of anyone’s head to transfer the take the person’s physical pain from them allowing them to feel numb, they can also do the same and pass the physical pain they are experiencing to the other person. This is a hard skill to learn so younger Therians or those without training may not have it mastered.
Jumping - Kitsunes can jump higher than their lycanthropes and ailuranthrope counterparts while in kitsune form, almost as if their center of gravity is lowered, they can use such abilities to jump distances normally unreachable.
Ability to lie - Kitsunes can lie without fail, they can also focus their mind to nullify tells which might normally catch others in a lie, Kitsunes also have immunity to all lie detection abilities including those of the Nephilims.
Blinding others - Kitsunes can blind a target temporarily with their mind, however they must always remain eye contact on their target, breaking the contact will cause the target to regain their sight.
Razor Sharp Tail - While in kitsune form, the kitsune’s tails are razor sharp which can cut even the hardest of diamonds with a simple whip of their tail. The older the Kitsune and the more it’s been through in life the more tails a Kitsune will have.
Shadowed form - Ailuranthropes are able to take on a shadowed form where their form becomes translucent much like the appearance of a shadow, this helps them to move undetected through the night. However this form cannot be used for combat since it's a stealth technique.
Balance - Ailuranthropes are naturally gifted in balance and can balance across small surfaces with little hindrance allowing them to escape through routes others would not be able to follow.
Climbing - Ailuranthropes have a naturally enhanced grip, allowing them to climb vertical sufaces without losing grip and falling, while climbing Ailuranthropes are capable of moving at enhanced speeds too.
Retractable Claws - In their human form Ailuranthropes are able to grow and retract the same claws available to them in animal form, such claws can be used as a weapon or to enhance their grip when climbing.
Magic: All therianthropes regardless of their current form are affected and weak to any form of magic.
Mortality: Although therianthropes have increased healing they still feel pain and decapitation of the head will result in death. They can also be killed by old age, terminal illnesses and fatal wounds to the chest and head. Despite their prolonged life they aren’t immortal by any means.
Silver: Therianthropes are naturally weak to silver and having silver in their system will cause the therianthrope to be unable to heal properly, injecting silver into the bloodstream is considered agonizing and has in the past been a popular torture method.
Wolfsbane: the herb plant can make them physically weak over time and burns to physical touch, Therianthropes who have wolfsbane in their system will not die however they will lose their ability to use their abilities and it will also have physical toll.

All therianthropes that live in the city and are a part of the faction must obey the rules set by the ambassador these rules are:
All therianthropes are able to turn only one person per full moon, the ambassador must approve the turn before it takes place else it will be discounted.
